Underneath the pet carrier I discovered the unused connection. Does anyone know what is is used for?

I havce oftren wondered about that too. What is that connection? There should be another end to it and it comes out of the main harness. My GT has had three previous owners so I am just assuming that it was a botched modification. It would be nice to know for sure though. Hope someone chimes in. My guess is that it might have worked for heated gear.

Perhaps. But the wire gauge is too small I think. I'm the third owner. I love my GT.

It would also have two wires if it was for heated gear.

Perhaps it's for an alarm sensor to detect the seat being opened?

Much like the US market has DOT blinkers, different markets have different equipment and options and it is usually cheaper for a company to make one harness for all markets. It serves a purpose in one of the markets Piaggio sells to, but not the US market.
I have, over the years, seen some incredibly bad things happen when people start plugging things they find apart together.

I am pretty sure that there is another connector to that. As to sticking the thing where it doesn't belong would be bad... Really bad indeed. I will just leave them there as they are then.

No I meant there is a pos or neg to that connector itself. I least I do.
