The music video is anticipating 200 million views.

Best thing about the video was the 300 cameos.

So how much added value to the one Ariana was sitting on?

My Son was at the shoot. According to him I would say about $5K.

My daughter (12) loves this performer. That's definitely the demographic for Ariana...and the other one, Iggy.

Will show it to her tonight. She'll get a kick out of seeing the Vespas in the video!

Well, that was a waste of 2 minutes. I couldn't watch it until the end.

Well, I DID make it to the end...but it's nothing special...just what passes for a current dance/rap record with Auto-Tune and a sax player who will never be King Curtis if he lives to be 100! Sounds like most everything on BANGERZ or BRITTANY JEAN or the rest of that ilk. Plus some "bitchin'" op-art graphics lifted from The Man from U.N.C.L.E. circa 1966. Yup...best thing was the 300 cameos!

The point of this for Vespa wasn't about song choice, it was about product placement and Vespa recognition.

It took a lot to get this done (way more than 2 minutes) and moot point for us over 30's I guess however the song is a global sensation and projected to be the #1 song this summer. So, I get Piaggio Italy 200M views of Vespa, I'm good with that.

Now let's all spin some Lawrence Welk.

MV (or any other internet forum for that matter) is the wrong place to try to prove to yourself, and the rest of the world that your time's too valuable to waste.

I mean by virtue of the fact that we're all "on here"....proves that we have some, uh spare time to, ummm....waste. I dont feel a bit sorry for anyone who has time to be here, pretty much regularly, and then thinks some of what they come across isn't worthy of their "time"

If I had a penny for every second Ive "wasted" on the innernetz....

Moderators I appreciate you removing the incredible comparisons of a pop song with Vespas in it to what was said. The spirit of this thread was supposed to be about us Vespa owners seeing our products in something viral. This has not been the case due to a derail or two, I'm ok whether you let this thread roll or lock it up.

I'm a bit disappointed but life is too short to fret....

I'm not familiar with the performers, but then, I'm at least three decades older than their target demographic. But for all the Autotune, kids-these-days, me yelling something about my lawn while brandishing a cane, issues, it seems to be a better-than-decent work within its genre. And, honestly, that's all it needs to be.

Nicely visible product placement, albeit slightly gratuitous. (Sure, they're 1960s-esque things so it's thematically consistent, but functionally within the video they may as well have been chairs.) That said, it'll probably end up selling a bunch of Vespas, so it's all good.
