Actually I got a blister on my thumb during the UK ride but only because I was possessed by the Devil that day.

Oddly enough the Kymco didn't give me one even though I was riding for longer.

You might end up with a claw like hand for a few days. If you are okay with tallons go for it.

Ca caw.
That was the worst part, the claw the next day... I am sort of regretting not doing another 200 miles on my way back home after our IB... Oh well, I'll get to it some day!

I as well didn't find the stock seat that bad. I guess I compare it to my cheap ass office chair and my completely uncomfortable road bike seat (tried 3 different types so far). It wasn't caressing my cheeks or anything but the discomfort was manageable like you said with stops.

The thing I found odd was the motion feeling when I stopped. I have done some long sailing trips too and they call that land sickness. Your brain gets used to the movement and feels odd when you stop. I took extra time on my last 1/2 stops, going slowly and meticulously though getting off my scoot and putting it on the stand at every gas stop. Once home I closed my eyes to rinse my hair in the shower and almost fell over. Lol. I did the same thing when I did the Annapolis to Bermuda Ocean Race. I had to pin myself with both hands on the walls of the shower not to fall over. I would say for marathon rides this is a factor to be aware of also. You will get off your scooter and still feel like you are getting buffeted by semi truck winds.
I have heard that when you get this, you have obtained your sea legs and that you are a person not supseptible to getting sea sickness. But I now what you mean. Can stand on a deck of a boat on the water with my hands in my pockets in heavy seas and then have to hang on to something to stand on solid ground when going ashore.

Nice find. I think this should get the MV "Best Use of Scooter" in a music video award.

Finding that was rather random. The song (I have heard before) came on my pandora channel when I was working on a project in my studio. I decided I wanted to have a listen again so I paused pandora and googled the video. And there we have it. Rat riding scooter throughout the video.

Rock-Star Status!
Froggie...I'm sure riding through VA was beautiful, I grew up in Virginia Beach and I still think Virginia is one of the most beautiful states.

How do you feel gathering/submitting the required paperwork was? I read the requirements and it seems a little confusing.

What a great experience!

The paperwork is pretty straightforward. You just want to document the trip as thoroughly as you can in order to answer any questions that could come up from the folks that validate the trips. Start time (preferably with a witness), time stamped receipts from fuel stops, and end time (preferably with a witness). Pretty easy.
