So, what gear did you end up riding with? And how'd you do all of the screenshots to the thread on the road?

I'm still thinking about doing a Lake Michigan 1000 (SS1000, but going around the whole of Lake Michigan, and you have to start and end in the same place. It's actually about 1100 miles from my house around the loop) sometime this summer. What techniques/preparations/rations/whatever did you find helped out the most?

Thank you. It really hasn't sunk in yet that I did it. Lol. I a still in gotta go go go mode. I can only imagine the odd dreams that will happen when I do rest.

Hehe. I did not stop for twinkles. Only thing I did at gas stations was use the loo and get gas. Well I did refil my camelback once with the soda fountain water. Brought all foods and drinks with me except dinner. Rick and his wife were so kind to treat me and meet me for a visit. Wish it could have been longer. Next visit will!

Oh I will have to write that out tomorrow.

Thats enough writing for one day, young lady,,,,,now go to bed mind you, after the day you've had, how the hell you're gonna sleep is anyones guess

Those who haven't done an IB ride can't fully appreciate how mentally and physically grueling this is. Those who have done an IB ride probably have blocked out the worst of the experience.

I couldn't be prouder. Well done Froggie. You've earned your rest and need never prove anything to any other rider ever again.

Thank you all. I will be doing the writing little today and more tomorrow. Today is regrouping, cleaning scoot and all the official IB paperwork. It is amazing how much stuff you have to do after doing the ride... I am not sure the ride is the hardest part
