Modern Vespa

well as some of you mite of read in my other thread my first ride out end with me pushing the scooter home,which turned out to be the fuel tap then the plug died,went out on my second ride out as its been raining for a while and today was dry 8) got about 3 miles and it died again this time partly my fault as it had ran out of fuel the gauge doesn't work and i hadn't been far so thought there was plenty of fuel in it,are they really bad on fuel when modified? 1 gallon in the uk i think its something like 4.4L cost £7 miles i would say 20 miles max,i had a modified dt50 years back and it run forever on a small amount of fuel,was thinking about fitting a full tap with a reserve so im not stuck on the side of the road again,really starting to see how people treat scooter riders too had a few idiots shout out there car windows at me,i have know idea what they were saying

scooter is pretty much finished now fitted a polini clutch torque spring and clutch spring today and lighter rollers,few pics today before i when out.

That is a nice looking scoot. I'm digging the color combo.

I'm sure someone will chime in about the fuel tap.

Great to see your basket case is now roadworthy. I'm sure you'll sort out the fuel gauge/tap issue. Is the problem with the former the sender (the bit on the tank) or the gauge itself? it might be a simple fix in either case.

Thanks, today i had a little ride and people do really stare at it,im not keen on that but i guess i will get used to it,i fitted a different kick start today off a zip i think as the std one doesn't fold in and i found i kept catching it
