I was poking around the following site www.MP3lt.fr and there is some chatter on there regarding a potential recall of the MP3 ABS/ASR.

Of course the posts are in french and my browser's translation of the posts produced pretty mangled results - the one thing it could make out was the word EEPROM which is the same in any language.

Anyone got any further information?

the sellers "piaggio " , replace the parking box (ECU) (EEPROM).
the Reference of the parking box (ECU) (EEPROM) it's numbers " 640439 "
installation time 2:00

Don't know what maintenance manual you are looking at but according to mine absolutely nothing needs to be replaced on an MP3 500 ABS/ASR at 15,000km. The manual states you need to Inspect :

Engine Oil;
Brake Pads;
Parking control unit software upgrading (if available)

and you need to lubricate the centre stand.

Nowhere in my documentation is there any requirement to replace master brake cylinder and sensor every 15,000km

I am more than happy for you to tell me those items are shagged at 15,000km and do need to be replaced - in which case I will make sure I do 15,000km whilst still under warranty.
