Just got my et4 back from the garage for it's starting issues and power dropping off. Got 4 miles from home and the power dropped off then died. Can't get her to restart. Recovery service not available for 1.5 hours.

Has fuel. Had been riding great. Won't start off button or kick and I have no tools. Any ideas? Anything I could try?

I've tried leaving it off for a few minutes, starting with the fuel cap off, rocking it to free the be fix, all with no joy.

And to top it all, rain is imminent.

Can anyone give me ideas to get me home, without pushing it?

Try toggling the kill switch.

Make sure the spark plug cap is on securely.

I'd call the shop first, perhaps they can collect you faster?

Battery connections tight? Headlamp bright? Air leaks around carb? Spark plug lead firmly attached?

Any additional symptoms?

Shop closed. Can see an air bubble on fuel pipe. Turns but not catches. May have flooded the carb, but doesn't start after leaving it for a while to clear

Sometimes they just break. That area creates a lot of heat. I regularly think about replacing mine, but rarely do. Perhaps I should... 8)

Thanks for the help guys.

Was able to get the scoot started with the broken cap. Then the recovery guy turned up and suggested I try riding home and he'd follow me. Got home with no problems at all. Immediately ordered a cap on ebay.

Laughing emoticon One of the cool things about MV. You usually get an almost instant response with a problem.
