Would I have any issues installing a connector onto my battery tender and then plugging it into my 12 V auxiliary port for an easy hookup.

That depends on how your 12V socket is wired. If it is 'always on' (so not switched by the ignition) then yes. If it's switched by the ignition - change the wiring!

Awesome, see this is why I love the forums, I would've never thought about that, and then wondered why it wasn't charging
Haha
Thanks

You can buy our "PP4" always on connector or modify your existing one. PM me for details.

I have my lighter plug set to always on and it works great with the battery tender.

I do it with the ScooterWest kit that I added just for that purpose.

I bought a 12 volt outlet from West Marine (wether resistant cover) and installed it in the knee pad and then hard wired it directly to the battery with an inline fuse as close to the battery as possible. Then I found a 12 volt male plug on eBay that fits the Battery Tender and I now just plug it in after every ride.

I did not know these existed until I saw it on this thread. I promptly ordered one and it arrived today. I was, admittedly, a bit perplexed at the lack of "installation instructions", but when I took the panel off, I discovered that this was, quite possibly, the easiest thing I have ever installed in 71 years of living.
It probably took 30 seconds.

Thanks

But do you really need to do that? I much prefer running the quick connect wire through the battery bay to the inside engine and secure it with zip ties. That way when i store it, the wire is always available and I can close the seat and be discrete

I am concerned that having the cig lighter always on with anything in it, may cause or accelerate battery drainage. Seems like a great idea though, but just not for moi.

At first I was worried too but then thought when will I really have anything plugged in there? Only when I am riding. It only takes a second to unplug anything you might have plugged in. Plus it is so easy to plug in my Battery Tender into the 12 volt outlet that I now do it every time I am done riding because it only takes a second to plug in the scooter.

That's it in a nutshell.
