LOUD!! Laughing emoticon my girlfriend got mad at me when I honked at her, she was like 40 feet away... it was funny
Other day I honked in parking lot garage at my work and my co-worker lady was like 75 feet away and I honked, she jumped, a few inches off the ground and I laughed so hard! She was like wow that's so loud, like 18 wheelers truck Laughing emoticon
Now I have them on my fly and reflex.. burgman is next!

Relay
What is the purpose of having a relay on the new horn? How does this affect it electrically?

Thanks,

The Stebel requires more power than the stock horn. The horn button and wiring isn't really up to the task. The relay protects your switch wiring.

Micbergsma great job. I would however suggest painting or treat that drill hole, cuz I would be worried about rust starting on the exposed metal. Perhaps I'm just too cautions...though.

When I honked the stebel horn for like 3 seconds.. didn't do anything wrong, bec of relay, if no relay, can be worse..

I bought it from www.bikerhiway.com cost $39 plus I think $5-7 shipping and with free wiring kit ($9) I bought two horns from that website, all good

The 7.5 amp fuse will blow. You need a more powerful circuit to operate the horn. The relay uses the stock horn switch (low current) to send high current to the horn. I installed a new fuse block where the alarm wires go, so I can add more accessories at a later time. Did mine this past weekend on a GTS. Sounds great! Not much room up there, but it will fit.

I got mine at last year's motorcycle show. About $35 IIRC.

how can I get the fuse blow up? I honked my pig and moover (reflex) sometime and fuses never blow up. Did it happen to you? if so, how did that happen?? Just curious [/quote]

Yes it did. I was just curious (and lazy) so I tried just hooking up the horn to the stock wires. It lasted almost 3 seconds before blowing the fuse.
