Modern Vespa

Some of you may have noticed that a few of the past fall and spring gathering threads have been missing. This happened because my email account was compromised a few years ago and spammers were using the email token I created for those threads for spamming. (Though I do think the one from Svetlana wanting to meet a handsome man and share our hobbies was legit).

At the time we had no way of blocking or stopping the use of these tokens so jimc moved them to an area of the forum only accessible by moderators and admins so we could monitor them without them being a nuisance to MV members.

While some of us were having fun playing in the mountains over the weekend jess was hard at work following process rabbit holes and has provided a tool for the moderators to revoke email tokens that become a problem. I have revoked all of my problem ones and have restored all of the affected threads to their original forums.

If you don't have them saved and want to check out some of the previous Gathering threads most if not all of them have the word "Official" in the title. Some reside in "MP3 Discussion" and more recent ones are in "Ride Reports" so you can find them by doing a title only search using just the word Official.

I'll leave this as a sticky for awhile for members that don't check in as much.
