Hi guys, these days my scooter became totally damaged , crankshaft bearings, cylinder and piston at all. Im trying to upgrade the cylinder kit from 125ccm to 180ccm malossi.
My question is if change only the cylinder kit do i have to change anything else , such as crankshaft or variator or anything else.
I appreciate every help.

A lot of people on here go for the molassi 190 kit with everything else as stock with great results.

I would reccomend changing your variator weights but other than that you'll get a good result. Everything else is just added crispness and feel, kinda like the icing of a cake!

I'm doing the kit with only changing my variator weights. I'll do a dyno run to see how well it works on the stock motor and will post you results if you have not yet fitted by this time.

Happy kitting!

If your crankshaft bearings are damaged as you say, then you will have to do more than install a Malossi cylinder kit.

Obviously if you find the molassi and polini parts to be cheaper than the stock parts then go for them.

But you don't have to buy anything specialised for the kit.

My previous scoot, an Et4 150, had the 190 mod. Makes a real difference but it did wear out crank shaft seals.. The little round flat metal plate that slides over the crank has a rubber seal that wears quicker.. Hope I remembered that correctly it's been several years. Other than that it's a great mod
