So after writing up an email to a friend with known good stator values, I came up with the idea of starting a thread similar to the metal stainless trim serial numbers that was on here a while back. My idea is for people to add resistance values from various scoots until we have a library to go through. That way we can all look in the library if we're questioning a stator or wiring. Bonus points if you can add a picture of the stator.

So I'll start- Grounding point was a fan cover screw. The bike is not running. Just checking resistance values.

2005 Stella. 5 wire stator
G- 381 ohms
R- 107
W- 0.00
Black- 0.00
Blue- .005

1979 US P200 7 wire stator
G- 495 ohms
Red to CDI-128
W-00.2
Black- 00.5
Yellow - No continuity
Red to harness- No continuity
Purple- 00.5 ohms

Just the ignition wires test on my 76 ET3.

Key turned to on, CDI disconnected. Digital multimeter set to resistance. Red probe to the wire, black probe to the ground\CDI mount.

White wire: .000 ohms
Red: 111.9 ohms
Green: 442 ohms
Green: no continuity (because the key is turned on)

Can anyone offer up some values for a PX non-battery stator? I have a new one on the way but I'd like to diagnose / repair anything on my current one and save it for future use. They're always fixable, right?

SIP Stator for: Vespa 50 R/Special/SR/SS/90/R/100/125/PV/ET3
WITH handlebar indicators.

https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/stator-plate-sip_15077460?q=STATOR

This works on my Canadian V100 pre sport with bar end signals. Only difference is this stator requires bar end signal bulbs at 6v-10w instead of the stock bar end bulbs which are 6v-18w.

Red to Black wires (IGNITION/HT COIL): 0.3-0.4 ohms (flickers between the two)
Yellow to Black wires (BAR END SIGNALS): 0.5-0.6 ohms (flickers between the two)
Blue to Black wires (TAIL/BRAKE LIGHTS AND HORN): 1.1 ohms
Green to Black wires (HEADLIGHT AND HORN): 0.3-0.4 ohms (flickers between the two)
SIP Part no.: 15077460 for smallframe with bar end signals
SIP Part no.: 15077460 for smallframe with bar end signals

What are you using to measure milli ohms? With values that low you really need a good milli ohm meter. I've seen readings that high just touching leads together. A 4 lead system helps cancel out errors when readings are that small. I use a Fluke 289 for a handheld meter and it is OK in the 200 - 300 milli ohm ranges you are in. A dedicated 4 wire setup is best for values that low.

Set to the lowest setting 200ohm. I'm not exactly sure if that scale translates to 1:1 exact ohms on the whole number or if a decimal reading like 1.1 is a multiple of ohms or something like that. Might have just been bad notation on my part by just calling it 0.6 ohms.
