I'm on the short side so this is quick question.

I saw that the ride height it 32 inch. Do they have a slimmed down seat for this scoot for a shorter rider (i'm 5'4)? I do Ok with a 30 inch seat but can't deal with anything taller than that.

This thing looks pretty nice, might be a nice replacement for my LX when the time comes.

Any help or tips would be good.

Thanks again.

You could always have the seat shaved down a few inches. Or wear heels.

Check the dealer support before you buy an Aprilia. I had an Aprilia Mana and while it was a great bike the dealers/service centers closed up shortly after I bought it. No use having a bike and no where to have work done on it.

Unless you do your own wrenching, then you have no worries!

same engine as in the vespa's and piaggio's so no need for a Aprilia specific dealer for normal to above average maintenance.
AF1 Racing is a very good dealer for parts BTW.

Well, the Aprilia Sportcity certainly has no advantage over an LX for a shorter rider. They have also been unavailable in the US for 5 years, so I suspect you will have trouble finding a good one when the time comes. If you really need a bike that works better for a shorter rider, I would strongly suggest the Buddy 125/150/170i. Not only does it have a lower riding position to start with, there is also a shorter optional factory seat available. Quite a few threads here about cut down seats for the GTS, as well.

My brother's ex-fiancé was 5'4" and she found the Sports City to be very manageable stock. My husband has a 29.5" inseam and has no problems with our Sports City either. My son started riding it when he was still about 5'4" though he's 5'9" now.

I think i might have changed my mind.

I think the Piaggio Fly would probably be a better option if I ever went with another scoot.

I almost went for a Honda Ruckus with a big NCY engine upgrade but I heard too many horror stories about the unreliability of these engines.

The Fly is actually shorter than a regular LX, the seat height is like 29 inches and it's essentially an LX with different adornments. I might check one out some time soon. Wanted a bit more power with a 250cc engine but I don't mind the Leader 3V engine and the shape of they Fly.

Yes, the Fly definitely is set up lower than an LX or Primavera. My 5'3" partner test rode one. Worked out fine. The Fly is also about the best buy among the Piaggios. If the 150 3V works for you, it would be a good choice.
