Well, I got my money back from ebay so I'm again in the market for a RAM mount (sick of using zip ties). Before just picking one this time I was curious what other's use and where they place their phones/GPS on their bikes. I wanted to place it off center on the right mirror's skinny bar but I would not be adverse to another location.

What do ya'll use? Any pics/links would be appreciated. Yes, that means I'm avidly endorsing you to SHOW OFF!

I use a Garmin mount for my cam that's attached to the mirror.

For my Iphone / PMP I use a RAM mount with my own custom mount attached to the windscreen.

I find the Garmin mounts more variable with less vibration. Although you can't go wrong with the RAM. Wish they made an adapter between the two. Or, do they?

I use a RAM mount for the GPS on my GT's. I found that the mirror stem works better than a windshield mount because the windshield vibrates more. A shaky GPS isn't good.

+1

I use the universal X mount RAM mount for my iPhone 5s, and the RAM mount specifically designed for my Garmin Nuvi. They are mounted on my mirror stems on my GTS, and on the handlebars on my Honda Shadow.

I'm pretty happy with my setup. Mirror stem mount, small extension, and spring loaded cradle with a bunch of adjustable fingers.
I've got a video I took with my phone in the Ride Reports subforum if you want to see how well it holds the phone.

sweet looking setups so far; thanks for the pics! Unfortunately, the Twin screen I use telescopes up and down on the faco's bars, so I would either have to remove the mount every time I want to move the windscreen or forgo moving said windscreen. Nah, mirror mount is best in my case. Sadly

I use these extensively on my scooters:

They're fine on GT/GTS mirrors, but need a short length of garden hose on some slimmer mirror stems.

This was the setup I wanted to get off ebay for $25 after shipping. i won the auction but the seller stalled...and stalled...and finally backed out. I think he wanted more money. If I have to spend more, I'ma buy it new and let my prime membership deal with UPS charges *shrugs*

But I really want to know what others use jimc. What is your setup; how does it look?

taurussvt I checked out your video and must say I was impressed with how little it shook for a bike mounted camera! Is that the u-bolt that jimc just posted?
