At least she came and tracked me down. Really bummed out, because the alignment spot on and they FINALLY FIXED THE WOBBLE on this scooter. I hope the drop doesn't mess that all up....

I bought a brand new 2016 GTV 300 today, only 60 miles on the ODO, and this woman backed into it and knocked it over.

Sigh...really hope it didn't get too banged up. Sometimes it seems a shiny new machine is a magnet for this sort of thing.

Similar situation happened to my husbands 300 a few months ago, I won't go into details, insurance companies SUCK! 😩

That sucks. At least she tracked you down and didn't run. Still sucks though. Hope the damage is minimal and easily fixed.

N that sucks. Do you have pics of the damage. Maybe they'll total it if the frame is bent or the metal body is severely dented. I'll rub my 8 bunnies feet for you. They come in handy sometimes. Good luck and keep us posted. Did you have a LX before? Glad to see you back on but not because of a accident. Don't be a stranger

If it's the first, I wouldn't be very concerned, can't really comment if the 2nd. |

noeltazz wrote: I mean the new model (at least the one i bought yesterday) has NO wobble whatsoever. My old 250 super GTS had a wicked wobble of death. On the 2016 GTV that I bought yesterday, you can let go of the handle bars from 70 all the way down to 0 mph and it is smooth as butter, at least thats how it was before it got dropped. I don't know about now. When you say she "knocked it over", did she just tap it and cause a tip-over, or much harder? Geez, what a shame, but with such a brand new machine it might be easier to settle with her insurance company. Best of luck! |

That really stinks. Hope that it can be repaired completely, or that they don't give you any garbage about totaling it and buying you a brand new one.

That really sucks. I can't imagine going from such a high to such a low in the same day. I hope everything gets addressed to your 100% satisfaction.

Sorry to hear that, do you still feel the same about your scooter,
I say that because the Yamaha Town Mate i had about 30 years ago was wrecked by my brother, and even after it was all fixed up, i just never felt the same about it, |

Same thing happened to my 150 a couple years ago. It took a couple months for the insurance to cut a check for the scoot to be fixed.
I hope yours goes better and the scoot looks perfect! |

Same thing happened to mine yesterday, I've just come back from the cop shop to report it. Luckily I had a witness to the ''accident'' as I never saw it. Insurance job now. Mine is 9 months old and mint condition, or at least it was.

So sorry to hear that. It could have been worse. I was actually sitting on my brand new Stella (less than 200 miles) when a delivery van backed into me. I was stopped in a traffic lane and the driver, without looking, decided to back up to get a parking space. No rear windows or camera on the van. Their insurance bought me a new bike. Happily I was not hurt or I would have been "grounded" for good.
Lesson to all. Don't position yourself in a blind spot behind any vehicle. If you can't see the vehicle's mirror the driver can't see you. And yes - I did hit the horn but with the windows closed and AC on the driver couldn't hear it and I couldn't back up do to other vehicles. |

Then the complete opposite emotion.. This was the only vehicle I had every bought new before, ever... ! To make it worse. Now it doesn't even feel that way anymore, I might as well have just got a used one I feel like |

I figured out over the years that it's mostly a "head" thing. Still sucks for you though. A lot easier if the bumps and scratches come slowly over time. |
