I am in the process of getting some unpainted front tupperware for my 250. It is currently black but I'm not real excited about the black. Anyone have any suggestions on what color I should paint the panels? Pics would be great of any samples you have seen. I can always remove the rear panels and paint them to match.

I was finally able to find your photos for the ones that you did and a few others. Thanks everyone for sharing and giving out ideas. Still not sure what I'm going to do but will share once done.

My thoughts...
If I was ever to go that route, I think I would go with Pearl White.

But here's the thing.
As long as I have had my MP3's, I encounter so many Dings, that I have avoided a custom color so I can easily order the stock replacement parts. There colors always match perfect.
I was always concerned to have someone I would have to pay to get parts repainted. Unless??? you are doing this yourself, than that would be nice to be able to do.

I had a 250 in azure blue (sky), I loved the color and it was pretty rare from what I was told. If I were to paint it (or someone else, most likely) it would have been

Okay, don't laugh...I'd like to have gone Wild! Zebra Wild!
So my pick for you is just that! You can vary the width of the black and white stripes, thickness, angles/pattern. I think the MP3 would look sharp as a "ZeBraBike!" Whatcha think?

P.S. Plus: This would be a hard bike to hide if ever stolen

Thanks for the ideas. If I would paint it I would do it myself. I've repaired a number of cars where the clearcoat has peeled so I'm comfortable with painting. Wrapping is also an option but I haven't priced that out yet. Wrapping would be a good option if I wanted to do something like "Zebrafing" the scoot. Right now I'm leaning towards "safety yellow". My riding jacket is that color so I'd match.

I could have gotten the 3 front panels prepainted but the cost was 6 times the cost of non-painted panels. $85 vs $550.

The reason I am replacing the front tupperware is because when I bought it the previous owner took some rattle cans to it and put on some really crappy flames. I figured I could just sand and repaint but the previous work kept bubbling. The only fix would be to completely sand it down to the bare plastic. Not the labor I want to put into doing that at this time.

I am re-building my MP3/250 right now.
You would be surprised how cheap the stock painted parts are right now.
I laugh when I see the junk they have on ebay and the price they want for it. Someone would be nuts to pay prices for junk off a wrecked bike when you can buy new. Good luck with the project, I like the idea of doing a Wrap... Post some pictures.

I checked the prices from AF1 Racing and a few other places. While some colors are fairly inexpensive, it seems that Black is the most expensive. For the main piece Black is $440, Red is $120. The other 2 smaller parts are around $50 each. I did find one place that advertised the main piece for $420 but I never contacted them to see if it was actually available.

My vinyl wrap cost about $130 for the two sheets of material I used. Most wraps with complicated patterns on them (as opposed to solid colors) seem to come in around $40-$60 for each 2'x4' sheet.

Same here - I'm considering the high-viz yellow-green, to match my jacket.

Still in love with Camaro green, though.

Dark Cherry metalic. Buff out each coat with fine buffing coumpound. The last (2) coats of clear. Buff with corn starch after 5 days. It will look like it is an inch deep.
