22 dollars PER LITRE? FFS. That's $84 per US gallon. Be real.
Or, you can buy Peak Global Lifetime 50/50 at Walgreens for $15 a gallon, which is probably fine for your GTS...

Is this Pink European Prestone safe to use with my 2008 gt200? I read in the MV forum that this Pink Peak is good because it is nitrite, amine, phosphate and silicone free and OAT. but I can't find it. This prestone is available but
nowhere on the container does it say it is nitrite, amine, phosphate and silicone free… which I assume I'm needing. It does say it's compatible with OAT G30/G12 Thanks |

Amazon's Vespa expertise might be unreliable. I would consult the Prestone site for tech info.

ScooterWest provides quite a bit of information in regard to Vespa scooters. They have posted several how-to videos on how to flush the cooling system and they are really one of the go-to retailers for all things Vespa.
They sell the coolant that was originally used in most modern Vespa scooters but as others have said, it is expensive and be hard to find (ENI/AGIP SPEZIAL 12++ ORGANIC COOLANT (ANTIFREEZE) 1 LTR. (VESPA/PIAGGIO OFFICAL OEM COOLANT). And understand that it appears that product is sold in either a concentrate (that has to be diluted with distilled water) or a ready to use product (both are a pink color when new but turns yellowish over time) . ScooterWest also sells another coolant which they state is safe for many Vespa scooters. It appears this product does contain a small amount of silicon but it must be so minimal it is fine to use in Italian Vespa engines. (Check their website to confirm all this information.) This product is MAXIMA COOLANOL READY TO USE COOLANT 1/2 GALLON 64 OZ, which is enough to do a complete system flush and then top it off over the next two years. (This is a green color when new.) This is the coolant that I use in my Vespa 300ie. There are various coolant formulas for different engines so mixing coolants is not recommended. I shopped around and the prices for these coolants at ScooterWest are definitely competitive. |

FYI - If you have a local CycleGear it's rather affordable and normally in stock.
