I have a carbureted BV250 with about 3750 miles on it. I've only had it since June but I am averaging about 59 mpg (25.08km/L). I was looking on comparables on Fuelly and I'm trailing everyone by 2-10 mpg.

If you are actually tracking your fuel use, What kind of fuel economy are you averaging?

I would expect that the mpg on the carbed 250 engines would be a bit less than on the fuel injected Quasar engines. I believe the pre-2008 BV 250s were carbed, while the newer BVs and all the GTS were FI. When I look on Fuelly it looks to me like you are pretty much in the middle of the mpg range for the carbed bikes, which seem to average about 59.

I have an 07 GTS FI I get 65mpg mixed use. On a carb model your doing just fine. I'm not very gentle either.

John that distresses me as I expect people getting 65 mph are easing around
I just refueled this evening and got something like 54 mpg. It could be that I am just being a bit aggressive off the line. I like being at the head of a string of vehicles driving about town. It has been awfully hot but my area is pretty flat and less than 50 ft above sea level. The Helix clone I just sold was averaging 68 mpg riding about the same way.
