I had my Vespa serviced at JMR Honda Vespa. Was not really impressed.
I am new to Vespas and wonder if anyone has any local (to me ) resources for repairs, service issues, maybe even bodywork?

Someone who restores Vespas would be ideal.

I would like to keep this one for a while but there are a few issues I would like to get resolved. All minor but they add up.

I could do some myself, but I am just curious.

Thanks
Cheers

I don't know a lot about the Cape, but I bet if you google searched and looked around a bit you might find someone who works on scooters....I did a quick search and only came up with motorcycle shops.

Which is probably a good place to start. Go to a smaller shop, talk to them, and they probably know of someone who does work, either at a shop or a backyard hobby guy.

If you came up over the bridge, then you have more choices, but unfortunately there are not many shops... I think some people go back to the dealer (no matter how bad or inconvenient), some people just don't ride all that often, and some people just wrench themselves.

I know in Boston there area few shops, plus Herb Chambers (no, I am not recommending them, just mentioning them). I am going to go with a place in Pawtucket, but I know that's not around the corner for you.

Good luck.

Might be worth searching Craigslist for scooter repair, as well - someone might be flying under the radar down there...

no way I would go for a mechanic on craigslist, IMO you'd be looking for trouble.
