Been away from MV for a bit, since my son took off to Arizona with my 2009 MP3 500. Back now, after having picked up this Bellissima over the weekend. Had ~700 miles on it then, now ~800. Have taken it through the canyons, on the streets and even did a few miles on the dreaded 405 and 10 freeways. Wouldn't change a thing, except the turn signal switch, which would be nicer if it had the push-to-cancel function. Really enjoying the ride. And, IMHO, it looks amazing.

Anyone know the procedure (or where I can find it) for attaching the passenger seat?

Apologies for the dark pictures and unattractive setting. It's raining in SoCal . Hope to get some good outdoor pics to post tomorrow here and in the picture thread. But for now, because no pics=no scooter, her y'all go:

That's beautiful. I'm not understanding what you mean by 'passenger seat.' You already have the only 946 seat afaik.

Thanks. Actually, the Bellissima comes with a passenger-seat extension that can be installed just behind (in addition to) the solo saddle on the scooter. I think it looks better without it, but still necessary for any two-up riding. The seat extension comes in a box with a second support plate that fits under the existing seat support. Manual says to see dealer for installation, but that seems a bit crazy to me. Certain it's an easy enough, risk-free DYI project. Really just not sure how much has to be disassembled and what, if anything, needs to be left off for installation. Here's a picture of the extra pieces:

That's a beautiful scooter - hope you got a good discount for the 700 miles on it though - 946s are not cheap! Razz emoticon

Ah, now I see the difference. The original 2013 946 had a single-piece longer seat.

mattscoots: did some trading and think the deal was as fair as I could get. Thanks all for the comments. Now, if I could just source a shop manual with details on the seat install....

Some pics taken this afternoon:

Thank you. Yes, it has a 150 (155cc, 3 valve) engine. I believe the United States and Australia get these, while ROTW 946 models are 125s. Not certain, though.

Quite right; here in the UK we can only get the 125cc version. But on the plus side we don't have those awful bobbly handlebar indicators or mudguard reflectors that the US authorities insist on...

I will see if I can get hold of a 946 shop manual today for your seat install

Thanks for the confirmation and effort on the shop manual, Matt. Do agree that the signals and reflectors on US models are less attractive than the reflectorless, integrated-signal models for the ROTW. But, I'm ok with it as delivered. Certainly safer on roads here with the additions, just like my dear old 560SL with the park-bench bumpers. Still, the best looking scooter ever available here, to my eye.

The more I see this
the more I think that they really are nice.

I think the second seat will look excellent.

Still searching for the installation instructions for the second seat. Did stop to take some pics in better light. Loving this scooter.
