Although I've met and corresponded with quite a few MVers over the years, Only a few have made it here to Israel.

This past Saturday night, chez treppenwitz was privileged to host MVer kpgo for a relaxed evening.

kpgo is a sweet teddy-bear of a man who, if he ever decides to come out of retirement and look for seasonal work, could easily land a very lucrative Santa Claus gig without the need for a fake beard.

I picked kpgo up in Jerusalem and brought him back to the house so he could meet the Mrs. and 'thing three' (our youngest son), and enjoy a home-cooked meal.

Since there was a slight chill in the air I put on a nice big pot of beef stew which was served with fresh bread and a tossed green salad. Dinner was washed down with ice cold San Miguel beer.

Over dinner and postprandial glasses of port, kpgo and I talked a good talk and came up with workable solutions to most of the world's problems. We actually managed to exchange ideas on a staggering range of topics... although somewhat ironically, very few scooter related.

Bottom line, I thoroughly enjoyed making kpgo's acquaintance and hope that other MVers will let me know if they have plans to be in my neck of the woods.

Excellent, although we've never met, I've shared several scooter forums with kpgo and have always found him to be a gentleman and welcoming to all members, glad you were able to meet.

I'm trying to plan a trip there next year. My wife has never been, and I want to show her my home land. I'll let you know if we can work it out, and when we'll be there. Maybe we can meet up one night.

FYI - I always imagine you to be a great host. But I think that of most MV-ers.

My ears were burning and I just located the cause. Someone was talking about me, and most mv ers, being good visitors. it was my great pleasure to meet and share the evening with the "treppenwitz" family. The Mr . came and got me and took me back and the family meal was a great experience. We talked until the youngster was bedded down and many of the worlds' problems were solved, at least in theory. As mentioned, scooters were talked about but not much. .
I definitely have fond memories of the visit and it could happen again. No threat, just fact.
Greatfully

hi"treppenwitz": i myself visit Israel almost every year i would definetly look you up on my next trip. last time in Israel was 08/2015 my son Got married and i attend . hade a great time also got to do some riding while there.
in 1977 i got my license for a motorcycle in Israel and my first "bike " was a 1970 Vespa Rally 180 SS,thats when the love afair started, the sound and the smell of the little 2 strokes engine made it,in 1983 i moved to the USA and rode a variety of Japanese Motorcyle mostly sport ,in 2005 the hitch for a scooter got the best of me and i end up buying a SilverWing which i really enjoy, from there i graduate to the big Burgman 650,but none of them was a VESPA !!!!! so Finally 2 bout2 weeks a go i purchased a new GTS 300 2015
and couldnt be happier ........
Shalom for now Ben Barr.
