I recently sold my 1980 P200E to someone local. He and I have become friends and I'm going to help him fix it up. We have decided that the cowls should be replaced. Looking on eBay we found new LML/Stella cowls from India for about $100 including shipping. Has anybody put these on a P200? Do they fit well? Are they good quality? Time is not a problem. We won't need them for at least 4 months. Should we look for good used ones? Is there somewhere else that might have them cheaper and/or better? Thanks.

Those are good quality - but you would have to weld early PE style tabs for the latches.
Scooter mercato was selling PE repops. But where out of stock last time I checked. Might want to hit them up.

LML makes both styles, but i'd hesitate to order off of ebay. very hard to get any recourse for incorrect or damaged parts.

I sell them at my shop for about $70-75 each.

Get them from Rob. It costs about 40/50 to ship them, each.
