Hi, hoping someone has some insight on my problem:
I am rebuilding a stella engine (LML 150cc), using a new mazzucchelli crank and a new malossi 166 kit. Problem is that the cylinder at the top of its stroke, pops up above the cylinder rim far enough that the top piston ring expands and locks the piston there. I am using the small tin/silver gasket at the base of the cylinder, but am thinking that it is not thick enough, or that I need some sort of additional gasket/spacer there. It also seems, looking down the cylinder, that the ports aren't as open as I would expect at the bottom of the stroke. Or could it be I have a crank arm that it is longer than it should be? The crank box indicates "AMT 164 Piaggio Vespa P200E", which makes me wonder if it is too big for the p150 size engine.
Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks.
