Modern Vespa

I am in Honolulu for a few days, the wife has a Union Convention and I'm along for the good weather and free hotel. I want to rent a scooter while I am here. There is a place, Chase Rentals that has Vespas. They have a 2011 LX 150 and a 2011 GTS 300. Yelp reviews say the 300 is beat up, but not sure if the 150 has enough power.
There is also a Brinkman that looks nice, but I really would rather ride a Vespa.
So should I get the 150 or the 300?
Also any tips on places to go would be great.

My wife and I rented from Hawaiian Style scooter rentals when we were there last spring. Super service, nice scooters, good prices.

They rent Sym scooters I think, not Vespas. I'm quite positive about the company, people, whole experience really. Class act all around. The one we got was 200cc, which on the island is the biggest you would ever need, even two up. It was a blast.

Chase rentals in Honolulu has them. I know they have 150's. Goggle them and find their number. I'd do it for you but I'm in the hospital with tubes everywhere. Good people. Have fun and be careful. Nobody stops at stop signs

Rented both the GTS and SYM when I was out there. SYM was cheaper and agree it's all the bike you need but it's not a Vespa.

I called Chase and they no longer have Vespas. I found a place that has them but Yelp reviews weren't good. Chase does have Yamaha Majesty so I reserved one of them for tomorrow. Hoping the weather is good!

That sucks but glad you found one. They seem like stand up guys. We don't have a good dealer here so getting tem fixed and finding parts is a problem. You'll find nice weather somewhere. I rented the scooter today. The weather was great and I had a great time. Got the Yamaha and it was bigger, heavier and slower than my Vespa back home. But it was nice to ride around.
I went to Diamond Head then took 72 for a while, on the way back I noticed another scooter behind me and at a light he pulled up next to me then handed me my cell phone! It had fallen out of my pocket. Nice guy, I was so lucky.

Cool. People are generally honest. If you want to come out here to the north shore I can ride my Vespa on Thursday . Will gladly meet you and buy you a great meal. Have a vino your so can ride. Pm me. I live in a very historic quaint town

There is a Vespa Dealer on Maui, on Dairy Road, there used to be a decent sized pack of SEA Vespas that were brought in about 15 years ago. They all promptly fell apart and died. Out of 10 or so scoots the guy brought in, not one survived long enough to be ever be a legally licensed bike. Spoiled dreams, avoid at all costs, even free.
