And I purchased it from Scooterpartsco.com and advertised on the MV sponsor classified here . They had great delivery and the battery fit fine.

The battery has an auxiliary "stand" it sits on since its shorter than the OEM battery. It fit perfectly. Looks like the same battery is used for the 250 & 300.

My only criticism of the battery is that you have to screw the terminals on because the battery is designed to mount the positive/negative either way. Its pretty flexible that way - you'll see. The terminal attachment is quite clumsy. I just struggled with it but finally got it on tight. I used some conductive/anti oxidizing paste. Home Depot has it. I used NOALOX. It also acts as an anti seize allowing you to get the terminal screws out a few years from now without stripping the screw heads. Probably other hardware stores also sell it or something like it. I smeared it on the terminals before attaching them and also into the screw holes. I don't anticipate touching the battery again till it needs to be replaced.

Motobatt was recommended by two senior and knowledgable MV members so I went for it. I've had it in for 3 weeks. So far, so good.
