I started into removing the carb on my ET2 and noticed the tube in the attached picture (circled in blue) is not connected to anything on my ET2. It was just hanging next to the carb. The picture is of another ET2 from a How to that was kindly shared by another forum member. Can someone help me out and tell me what it should hook up to? I see what looks like a plastic fitting but its hard to tell.

Hi it's to take warm air from the cylinder and flow across the carb to keep it warm.

Some one asked the same question before I found it by looking on Google.

^^this. There is supposed to be a little rubber "poncho" that sits over the whole carb. This tube sticks into a hole in that and the poncho helps trap the hot air on the carb. Without the poncho, I think the tube is unlikely to be very effective. But unless riding in fairly cold weather I don't think it matters too much either

I lost my "poncho", and it works without it too. Although, I don't ride in winter.
