Im thinking of changing the look of my scooter by painting the exhaust white and adding Schwalbe Raceman Whitewalls, I have heard that although they are good tyres, the quality is not there and can grow air bubbles on the side wall. Anyone use these tyres.

I've used Schwalbe Racemans and they were great. Did a few thousand k's on them. As did SubEtherBass. Neither of us had issues with them, but you can find a facebook page with hundreds of people with delaminated tyres... Racemans and Weathermans.
The company says it's mainly due to not fully inflating the tyre and they recommend 36psi in the rear.

We both needed to space out the wheel slightly with washers to avoid rubbing the clutch cover.

Yeh the fb page does make me think. Now looking at Sava white walls, just looking to change the look of my scooter a little. Don't like the conti white walls, profile to square & also need a speed rating above 62mph.

I had Sava white walls when I got my P2. They were splitting all along the seam between white and black. Of course, we are talking about older used tires - I can't say how long they lasted before this happened. Possibly a long time. But it was very disconcerting... knowing a potential weak spot like that I would hesitate.

I have Michelin whitewalls on my 50L and had no problems with them. Not sure if they're still available though...?
