Me and AWB visited this place earlier in the year and reckon it'd be a tip top stopping spot for a Skok day out. http://www.aviationmuseum.net/

Pros: It's Free.
Cons: It's on the Norfolk-Suffolk border
Pros: There's a pub next door
Cons: Errr...

There's easily a couple of hours to be spent wandering around looking at the exhibits, and if we get bored, well... There's a pub next door!

I'm thinking April/May next year but avoiding

16th April as that's aviation skills day and the place will be crawling with Cubs, Scouts and Beavers (ooh err)

17th April as that's the internal combustion weekend so it could be busy and parking might be an issue

8th May is East Coasts Pirates American Classic Cars. Which would probably be brilliant, but again bloody busy.

22nd May - Aviation Enthusiasts Day which would probably be the same as above.

So what do people think? Anyone fancy it? Any preferences on dates?

The Road between Thetford and Flixton is pretty good for scootering. BTW, did I mention there's a pub next door?

April 4th, 6th and 27th are all going to be awkward birthday dates for me.
Not sure when these dates fall though.

Ah, it's the other Norfolk air museum that has the full Vulcan - this one just has a cockpit.

I'm up for that... Nice roads that way , even the M11-A11 if thats the route to choose out of London. Spotted a BloodHound rocket there. I was a cadet joined to a TA regiment and we had some Blood Hounds. A drop of Adnams at journeys end would be good too. Gass silvermachine gTS 250

9th and 10th April is probably out for me. It's our anniversary on the 11th and I'm quite fond of my plums, thank you!

Alice, you said May was busy for you, but are there any weekends you could do?

I'm guessing most people's preference would be a Sunday ride anyway? So why don't we start aiming for 24th April, but this is subject to change depending on peoples availability.

Something with a warranty - I don't have time to fix two of them at the moment! Probably will get a PX150...although I was incredibly impressed with a GTS 300 that I rode last weekend...

I'm gonna ride the X10 for this one I think.
