Hi,

i have a Piaggio mp3 400lt with 72.000kms.
I've been a reader on your fórum for a long time but now i need some help and toke the jump and registered an account.

I have this vibration on a certain speed range (from 60kms/h to 80km's/h).

I checked for the notch but it does not have that problem (tested by turning the handlebar with the back Wheel is on the support and it turns gently without stucking at any pont)

I already calibrated/balanced the wheels and nothing changed.

Can it be the shock absorvers? When passing pot holes it feels like the suspension is not working very well. Can that create the shaking i feel on the handlebar when i reach those speeds?

handlebar shaking on certain speeds
Hello,
I had a 400LT, and had the same problem when reaching 55-60mph. It used to rattle the bars and pit the front right tyre. It destroyed 2 tyres in the space of 5 weeks, and once I had eliminated the tyre as the variable, it pointed back to the front right shock.

Check your front tyres, as they may have chunks of tread missing from them.

Ride safe.

Cheers,
Jon.H

The tyres are fine.

They rode until now about 10k kms.

Can anyone tell me the front shock absorver part number or reference? i've been looking on the web for the replacemant part but i can only find the rear shock absorvers.

i'm going to a test bank (don't know if that's the correct name), and test it.

Thank's for the replies.

Hope it's something simple.

I will give some feedback once i know what the problem really is.

Have a nice day.

I would try installing CounterAct Balance Beads or something you have available to you. 2oz in each tire and see if that makes any difference.
