I did some searching and saw one other user who experienced the problem on the BV350, but didnt really see much of a conclusion. I can try to take some video this week with a chest go-pro--- but its pretty violent on decel.

The front end also feels loose and disconnected. I am assuming that they are related.

Tires are new and pressure is even. Preload is set on rear. Happens with Top case on as well as off. I am 6'1" 190 with gear. Been riding for years, many bikes--- this is the first that has had a feel like this.

Its a 2013 BV350 that I bought used with 10k miles on it.

Should I start with Steering bearings? If so does anyone have a link on where the best place to buy is?

have someone hold the rear wheel on the ground when on the center stand. Check for end play on the front wheel bearing.

Mine does the same, seems to be worse lately. Checked air pressure it was fine.

Not sure how any bearings could be bad, only have 5,000 miles on it.

Mr. Fish had to replace front wheel bearings with very low miles. So, it happens.

Just an FYI- The BV series of scooters are known to have headset bearing issues. Not sure if this is also a problem on the 350's but the 200's,250's, 300's, and 500's it is. I've had mine replaced twice in 27,000 miles. I think they are a bit loose right now because I experience the same feeling with hard braking. I think mine (and maybe yours) just need tightened.

Thanks for the replies guys. Does anyone have a picture of what the bearings look like? When i hit bumps it does feel a little loose so that sounds like it could be the culprit.

When I put the bike on the center stand there wasn't any play in the system by hand--- but i can def feel it when riding.

I am going to put it in for the 12k service next week --- but I try to avoid diagnostics labor at shops because thats where the $$ starts flying

I needed to have my BV350 head bearings adjusted and greased when I took the scoot in for the ABS pump recall fix. I could hear the bearing was loose when I put it on and took it off the centre stand.

While i've only seen a BV and don't own one,how are the shocks? I have Malossi (front and rear) on my LX. Much better than stock IMHO. MotorSport/ScooterWest in SD has everything you'll need. Give Max a shout. Good luck

Why not have them grease and adjust the headset bearings while the bike is in the shop? That is not diagnostic - you request the work, they quote you a price, and they do it. In the bargain, they inspect the bearings and will alert you if one of the bearings is damaged.

I don't understand that logic.
