Hi there, I've been working via e-mail with a decal provider in the UK over the past couple of weeks to come up with the following decal plans for the scooter. GTS is black, so I'm hoping these images really complement the black of the scooter.

Question I have is what to do with the badges? Can I just remove them and put them back on top of the decals, or take them off and keep them safe for if I want to use them again in the future?

Confused and uncertain whether to proceed. Some views would be welcome.

The badges come off easily and i'd leave them off. Would look funny on top of the wrap IMHO. You can buy new ones when and if you take the wrap off. Not that expensive. You could try and save them but i'm guessing they won't stick back on very well. I've replaced mine on a regular basis. Cheaply made. Pics when it's wrapped. Like the Who wrap. 8)

Take the badges off dont worry about putting them back on,you can always add them back on later if you want to.When fitting the decals take your time and dont rush it as they can crease easy,if it happens just pull them back of the panel and reposition them and smooth out the air bubbles.

nice graphics you have chosen and good luck

Thanks for the thoughts and great to see them looking so good in the flesh!

I've decided to go for just the Quadrophenia side panel image on both sides and a target roundal for the legshield. I'll remove the badges and keep them for later.

I'm waiting on final costs, but last quote which was for both side panels, front legshield, glove box and the lower side panel strips was 57 pounds (UK) including postage. I suspect now I've reduced what I'm after it will be a little less. Great value and looking forward to the finished look. I'll post photos when I've done it.

Oh, and Miguel, the person I'm using is Tim Shaw at Scooter Designs & Graphics. You can find him at his facebook page here

A little late, but I like your choice. I am a fan, bought the movie and t-shirt, lol. I would do what you're doing, so will look forward to seeing pics of the final product. Thanks for the FB link. After reviewing photos, still think you made the best choice. That's a good looking design.

Well, I've taken the plunge and have ordered the following. Decided to not go with the Maximum R&B and just the Quadrophenia wraps as this more closely represents why I love scooters and The Who.

Photos will be posted when it's finished.
New design.

Very cool. After you get it done pics please. Love the Who. Saw them in concert in the 70's and then over here in the early 2000's. Still one of my favs. Are you doing the wrap or ar you having it done professionally?

So I received the decals last week and finally got some time to put them on. Really pleased with how they turned out.

What happens on the right side where the decal covers the vents, does that cause the engine to retain heat, or are there holes in the decal to let it vent out? Looks great, BTW!

I've had Tim do several decals for me and he is a pro. He is also very patient and seems to enjoy brainstorming with you.

Australian 2013 GTS has no side vents. So nothing to worry about there. I understand though that if mine did have the vents, Tim would provide decals with the vents.

I did the decals myself. Really easy to do actually. Just use water and washing up liquid in a spray, lightly coat the decal and the surface and take time using a credit card/soft cloth the smooth out. if it goes wrong, just lift and go again. Patience is the key.

I think on the GTS300 at least, the vents are purely cosmetic as it is cooled via the radiator grills in the legshield. The vents are supposed to give a 'retro' look.

I am sure that someone here will correct me if I am wrong, this is, after all, the Internet!
