Detectorists is a GREAT show! Once of the best out of Britain in some years. And yes, Simon and Garfunkel on the scooter was a riot with Lance and Andy trying to get past them in Lance's "classic" TR7.

Cruella, in the theater. Spotted a bodge Gonna have to wait till its free on Disney+ so I can pause and screen grab some better photos to see just how much of a bodge it is!

Movie was good, albiet long.

Obviously they had to fit a 4 stroke so it didn't smoke.

Finally got around to watching the latest Shaft movie. Loved it! Sam Jackson in full badass mode and some great one liners. If you go in expecting no more than that you will enjoy it. Also reminded me that I love the wah-wakka-wah guitar style.

Ted Lasso, Season 2 - Episode 1, did not disappoint. Seen on Apple TV.

When Netflix runs low on good stuff, I fall back on the endless reservoir of Senor de los Cielos narco-telenovela episodes. This guilty pleasure resembles a Tarantino version of cheap soap opera subbed in English and full of plot twists with comical sex and cartel violence. Mindless entertainment while learning new Spanish curses. It's a spinoff of Reina del Sur (below)

Olympics on NBC. [rant] Why do networks show hour after hour of Gymnastics, Beach Volleyball, and Swimming? Synchronized Diving, seriously?[/rant]

Where is the Table Tennis? Where is Wrestling? Where is Fencing?

Oh yeah, finally watched 3 episodes of the CNN Stanley Tucci show "Searching for Italy". It will make you very hungry.

This weekend we watched Dune (1984), Blade Runner: The Final Cut, Blade Runner 2049, Head, Daydream Believers: The Monkees' Story, and a bunch of episodes of The Monkees.

Neither of us had seen Dune or either Blade Runner movie. My wife is a HUGE Monkees fan, so she's seen all the episodes and Head multiple times.

The wife tracked down an episode of The New Monkees from 1987 on YouTube last night. It appeared to be a digital conversion of a VHS recording of the show as it aired - it included the local ads. The show itself is bad. And when I say bad, I mean terrible. The ads, on the other hand, were glorious.

Watched Nobody at the Movies a few weeks ago and can't recommend it enough.

Not watched a TV in a year and I don't miss it.

Panasonic TX 40 JX 800 E 40 inch and connected it to an external hard drive to record the timer programs.

It was okay for what it was, a predictable, formulaic action flick. If you don't expect much it won't disappoint.

My family has taken to calling Nobody "Saul Wick" a mashup of the Breaking Bad Saul Goodman character and the John Wick movies.

Finished three seasons of Morel Orel. Daughter's pick. Reminiscent of the old Claymation Davey and Goliath, but let's just say a much more adult version, in theme and content. Equal parts amusing, thought-provoking and biting.

That's interesting. I agree with you it was a bit Wicky but it for me it had far more style, humour and gasp moments than the aforementioned Trifector.

The set ups for the kick off on the bus and the house fire were pure theatre.

Keanu is built for this kind of genre but this guy ? He's not what you expect.

Let's see: Bosch, Ozark, Schitt's Creek, The West Wing, Virgin River, Ted Lasso, Queen's Gambit, and The Crown; to name a few. I have to re-watch "West Wing" every few years. Of course, I'd watch pretty much anything Aaron Sorkin writes.

This week Hulu released Nine Perfect Strangers. Watched the first two episodes; it did not disappoint. If you liked Big Little Lies - this is one to watch. Ted Lasso continues without disappointing - Season 2 - Episode 4 - Christmas episode - will become a classic.

Mrs. Stickyfrog are in season 1 of "Hand of God." The jury is still out for us. It is interesting and disturbing at the same time. Ron Pearlman is convincing as a delusional father of a son who attempted suicide but is now in a vegetative state.

Also, the initials of this series is HOG. Accident or...

I do not have wi-fi but I have a sat cell phone. Can I somehow attach it to the TV?

I use my laptop and then send it to the TV via a HDMI Cable. I do have the app on my cell phone and the iPAD too. Traditional TV is dead.

Shocking situation for me ... Just a month ago I bought a LED TV, first I used a non led LCD. So it wasn't connected. Now I have too many options, the problem is that free internet for everyone in Italy is a mirage.

I've always liked sci-fi, though I've never quite been as much of a Trekkie as I probably could be. That said, I am enjoying the hell out of "Lower Decks." I know I don't get half the references. I still find it amusing to go read articles pointing it all out after the fact. They've got a freaking Tamarian character as a Starfleet officer now.

They no longer know what denominations to find to put so that it looks exotic ...

Are you able to attach the iPad or the cell phone to the TV as well?
