... And Too Much Information
After looking at the forecast and in my haste to "do the right thing," I decided to add Sta-bil to the tank. Having left my reading glasses behind, I mistook the top of the spout to be a squeeze hole when it was a round cardboard thing. I tipped the bottle upside down, put it in the gas tank and squeezed. How the cardboard thing didn't end up in the tank was crazy luck. Unfortunately I ended up with a bit over an ounce of Stabil in a 1.7 gallon tank. (supposed to be 1 ounce per 2.5 gallons) The tank was half full so I ran to the station and filled it up. Got home and Googled to see what I can expect for this blunder and read about sooty spark plugs, blah blah...
I wasn't planning on parking it until June or anything, just until it quits raining and flooding. Figured the best I can do is ride when able and add gas as possible to dilute it down.. will that even help? Is this not a big deal? My scoot has a carburetor with what I hear is an undersized jet.. makes me feel like tiptoeing around it to keep it clean.
Just wondering if anyone has any other thoughts on this other than I'm making a mountain out of a molehill... which that's okay too.
