hi!i was looking online and found the vespatronic ignition with 2 different prices and titles, the cheaper one was titled EVERGREENVESPATRONIC
http://www.scooter-center.com/en/product/VTR1002/Ignition+EVERGREEN+Vespatronic+Vespa+PX+1800g?meta=?cat=C_V_ZAPM18&catmatch=CAT_ZUENDUNG_ZUENDUNG
and the xpensive one is simply vespatronic on SIP and S&S.
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/ignition+vespatronic+for_50005000
also the expensive one has no flywheel extractor and the flywheel colour is grey.
are there any significant differences between the two?cheers!

It's hard to see what the difference is. Write to SCK and ask, they're pretty good generally.

Cheaper again is the Malossi. But it only comes in 900 and 1200 gram flywheels... sounds a bit on the light side for my liking.

A couple of weeks ago I and others did the Mille (1000 k's, 2 days) with Tino Sacchi, who made the Vespatronic / Variotronic. He came specially from Italy for the event and had a ball.

What scooter is it for, the GS160 or 150. There are other alternatives now.

The GS150 does not come with flywheel, I believe the 160 comes with flywheel, evergreen vespatronic & vespatronic are the same.

If you have not already bought the Vespatronic, I would have gone down the road of the Pinasco Flytech. Yes apparently the wiring is not easy on a PX.

I have it on my tuned reed valve engine, without electric cog. In my opinion a great addition. Very easy to fit and the weight can be matched to your clutch weight, which is always going to help the balance of the crank.

So does it come with weights?

You can buy it either 0.9, 1.1, 1.4, 1.6 & I believe 1.9kg so Im assuming the maganeto must have additional weights. My previous comment I made a mistake, its not balanced with the clutch its balanced with the crank. I bought the 1.6kg Pinasco Flytech which was the same weight as my crank. The cheapest place I have found for these is on eBay.it (Pinasco Flytech)

the 1.6 one must be the most ideal for turing as well, thats what im thinking about...seems like a nice kit,and very easy to install, only 2 wires!but what is the brake light switch shutter thing?is it the button to light the rear lights when you push the foot brake or something else?

I think the brake switch is included for earlier models that may be 6v... in a 12v conversion you generally need to swap from normally-open to normally-closed. Or the other way around. It's not shown in the pictures for the PX kit.

Also there are three wires coming from the stator.

I don't know how many times I have mentioned eBay.it being so much cheaper than the UK & German shops, I just wish there postage was more reliable. But definitely worth it for the more expensive parts.

I know what you mean. I know two guys who each ordered a cylinder kit from the same seller on ebay.it within a few days of each other. Fabio got his in under 2 weeks. Callum hadn't received anything within the month, queried it, told it must have been lost in the post... then they said (after inquires by Fabio on behalf of Callum) they would send him another one free (yeah right) which arrived about two months after the first order.

That's what worries me about ordering from there!
