Modern Vespa

Hi all, just signed up to MV today so this is my first post. Anyone know what this 2wire connector(black & black/yellow wires) is for? I havent metered it out yet but I suspect it may be a running light feed , can anyone confirm?

Was wondering that too! Mine is near the front right turn signal,,,

I'm gonna get my test meter on it tomorrow. I'll post the results on here pal

it could be the wires for a 250 running light,i put a 25o horncast with running light, on to my 300,using those wires
,also you might have wires spare for the alarm ,but they usually go to a white plug

Just guessing here, but could those be be for the US DOT turn signal lights?

They are for those GTS models with a running light in the horncast.

i used those for the light in horncast when i sold scoot ,the buyer thought at first it was a 250,
but then thought it was a great idea,different

I measured 2 volts coming out of it when the key in the on position.

So how much would be good to hook up to it, just anything not over 2 volts and should be fused? If they are led, they would need those resistor things?

It looks like they used the same harness for the scoot that uses this light:

Probably spent a total of 2hrs from conception to fruition so all in all I think 2 hrs well spent and DEFINITELY increased my visibility to other road users.

I was not able to use it, even made a custom connector. The ground I used maybe did not work? I just used the stock alarm connector leads. I added auxiliary headlight, not wired up yet.

Mk I ...... taped in place, just read up on DRL specifications and they SHOULD turn off when indicator comes on, HOWEVER, mine are always on when ignition is on .... i think its gonna have to be a REALLY bored policeman that pulls me for it!
