Hi guys , recommissioning a px 2012 engine dry stored (unmolested) crashed bike
was running fine .................under 1500 miles (possibly)
will do a compression test ,check everythings tight , it's been lubed up

My thoughts ,just new gearbox oil, plug, clean air filter
kick and listen for any noises my one doesn't make .................fire it up

or strip clean carb?strip check bore/piston?etc

As its auto i thought buy a secondhand ,oil and fuel tank to run on a stand like this one ,dash of 2stroke oil first run check pumps running ok

I have a drum fan good idea or overkill? i,ve usually had basketcases or make one good from two so complete strip ,but its low milage and 30 years newer than most engines i,ve ever bought

thanks
george

Bravo George! What did you finally have to do?

I'm guessing just the first list or did you need to service the carb too? I would lay odds you didn't pull the top end though.

Did you actually hook up oil supply to autolube or just run premix for testing?

And where's the pics? I wanna see your engine stand .

Hi mate thanks but i didn't do anything ,was still on the bike .........all seemed good, sounded rattly but just like mine ...........we will get together and review at the weekend ,not in a hurry so probably just strip it,......ahh the stand my over elaborate genuine twin vespa tanks design would make the stand cumbersome,"so i,m told lol" I need to be able to move it about on my own , i have some industrial type locking casters ,and i,ve bullied him into letting me have the coolest little vintage fuel tank, but to be honest if i was left to my own devices the stand will take 3 months and be more complex than the engine lol .....................pictures !!!!! sod the pictures i,m flirting with technology its video now .......cant put the bloody thing down ,but it can be distracting and very dangerous on the bike ,i can move my head so i can just see in the mirror the little red light ,that means its on.... but almost ran out of road ...............i'm very excited ,i will update as we go i will try not to overpost but that might a be difficult for me lol
