I purchased a used 2013 BV350 in Pennsylvania. It is black with the red seat and trim. The previous owner left it outside for a season and the red instrument cluster and glove box faded. Was wondering if anyone had this happen and either replaced the parts or painted them.

If someone painted them, what type of paint and color did you use?

Thanks.

I have the silver/red and the red has faded horribly. I will probably eventually replace the pieces with black pieces from AF1 Racing.

I made this post a little while back.

Thanks for the information. A scooter friend also said maybe I can replace them with black and leave the red seat.

Can you buy these parts already painted the red...or would you have to do that yourself? I guess you could try a plastic paint but I have no idea how well it would adhere and/or peel. Have you heard anyone painting these parts?

You can buy the pieces already painted, but I think it would be easy enough to do it yourself. I have had good results using Krylon Fusion spray paint on plastic scooter panels. I believe that would be particularly easy on the red panels of the silver and red BV as the red panels are textured rather than gloss. The texture is quite forgiving when painted.

Thanks. I may give the painting a try then. Worst case is that I have to buy new parts which is what I was going to do anyway. So for $10 its worth a try. I'll post back once complete.
