So as i said in my first post I'm getting back on my Vespa. Havent used it in 4 years as it failed its MOT. In the process of ordering the parts to fix it up with my Father in law. Anyway, i found the old MOT certificate and it failed on

(engine Mounting Middle Pivot) rear suspension bush has excessive free play. 2.4.A2a (i).

I think i have a vague idea on what this is but i am a complete novice at this so hopefully someone else can give me a heads up on what i need to replace in order to get this passed when we take it for MOT after the fix up.

Thanks all!!!

It would help if you declared what model of Vespa you have in your profile (preferred), or at the very least, in your post.

I suspect they mean the 'Silent Block' - can be seen in the parts diagram:

Thanks for that!
We are gonna attempt to do it ourselves, is it a hard job - that is if you have attempted it yourself before lol.

It might be worth replacing the swing arm bearings at the same time. (If not done already)
They tend to rust out and fail.

Check out eBay for swing arm repair kit for GT/gts. Its a set of bearings and bushes and rods.

Check out this site for a how-to. Swing arm rebuild is what you want. You remove the bearings and drop the whole swing arm assembly out.
