Modern Vespa

Hi guys been looking at bikes for my scooter convert mate people seem to like the LML star as do i ,as we will working together on the bikes ,engines, is the LML star basically a clone of my px are the parts interchangeable engine swap etc
been looking for a low milage px but he thought LML seemed a very good price for a brand new ,compared to a newish vespa px ,looked on various posts and lot of contradictory info,does anyone here have an lml 2 stroke
i'm suggesting the px as i wanted a genuine vespa but he,s more into the general little 2 stroke simple runabout thing ,what do you think?

not sure about brand spankers but good points to look out for are,reedvalves,
transfers are a lot bigger and 5 port cylinders. old ones had rotary valve,not sure when they changed

just watch out for the ones where they hammered the crank bearings on blindfolded

Ughhhh - how many times do we need to go over this. LML star/belladonna (Genuine Scooter Company Stella in USA) 2 stroke is a PX. Almost everything bar a few bits are interchangeable. Except the Star being reed valve.
So - LML(Lohia Machines Ltd.) was making the PX150 in India under license for Piaggio as the Vespa NV from mid 80s to 1999. They made other models too - LML Select etc. So 2000 or so they started making LML star with all of the piaggio tooling left when agreement ended.
It's essentially the same scoot with some of its own engineering and upgrades.

we can have a lot of fun,test then apply to the other engine and reed valve thats more my 2 stroke
