am starting mini project 2 and need bit of your help
want to add additional light to my GTS300ie Super 2015, since think that normal headlight is not that strong (am used to Xenons on cars) and is bit of a hurdle if the bulb goes wrong somehwere in the middle of the nowhere (to replace it). so having second one should improve the vision and safety
for this first post, will disclose only little, that I want to use the latest generation LEDs, under proviso that they last much longer than halogens and xenons, plus are more energy efficient (all the goodies). waited for a month to receive the damn thing.
I maybe would not think about adding second light if it would be possible to fit it to the OEM headlight (actually, behind it, since the problem is non existing clearance with the instrument). have at the moment other LED (more compact version) installed there, unfortunately, this one does not focus light over reflector, giving as result rays going in X ways when leaving headlight and not centering the beam in front of scooter, but having 2 halves left and right of the middle position. nevertheless, the light is very clear and nice colour temperature, so I will keep it there for giving me more light asides and improve my personal visibility in others' mirrors.
now, as said, will post you on other details with the pictures later, need to sort out electrics.
on my previous GTS250 I have added 2 off headlights (mounted on front transport rack) with very simple LEDs intended to be used as daylights only. gave the task to dealership here in Berlin (damn RS again) with clear instruction to connect the lights somewhere on the body, just after the relays, before cables head up to the steering wheel. of course, they didn't listen, and made cable Sphagetti up to headlight and back (wearing of the cable was result). very unprofessional. gave them task thinking they have proper electrician who would do better job then me, how wrong I was.
so, if you can, please help: do you know where the relays for the headlight are on GTS300ie Super 2015? are they at the front, next to horn or inside the gloves compartment? photos would be much appreciated. which cables (colours) are "the ones"? any additional tips from those who already done similar?
