I haven't had a phone that was not an IPhone or Android. However, my iPhone 6 was having charging issues recently and went in and decided to trade it in on a new phone. Picked up the Lumia 950 yesterday (day it launched) running windows 10. I'm a it of an early adopter and love my Surface Pro 3 and Xbox One so figured after playing with it and some discussion with a few people that raved about their phones, I decided to give windows mobile and windows 10 a go. Surprisingly, I love it so far. Did you know you can hook this thing up to a keyboard, mouse, and monitor and use it like a computer?! That's insane!

Like you I switch from iPhone to Lumia 830 (windows 8.1) and loved it. Now moving on to the Lumia 950 XL, great phones (good processor and 3G of RAM) and soon all the apps from Apple and Android will be available on windows 10. Best part, seamless between the phone, Surface Pro 4 and laptop/desktop! Great business phone...

I switch from android to iPhone a year ago. Thought it made sense to have all apple, since I had an iPad and a iMac. There r some advantages for me, but haven't been all that impressed with the iPhone. Might have to go look at the Lumia.

I love the tech and ideas behind the new Lumia phones. I am very interested to see how well they work when hooked up to a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

All my phones have been Windows based, from Windows Mobile up to Windows 8.1 at the moment. I just liked the way they worked.

...well so far, so good. I love my surface pro 3....love my xbox one (kids and i) .... this just made sense given what I've heard about them. I generally use it for work so like Budz said, it does seem to be be better so far for basic email, calendar, office stuff. The layouts on all apps have a different feel to both iPhone and Android, but so far, I think it works. Anyway - thought I'd share. Lumia 950 is a pretty good phone so far.

Budz - I would have gotten the 950 XL but had to buy outright from microsoft while AT&T has the 950 at launch. You'll like it. Screen is awesome and so far camera is impressive and I can't tell you how much i missed having a button to push like a camera but this thing has one. You won't go wrong...

I would have considered Windows Phone if there was more than sand and tumbleweed in their app shop. Got Windows tablet and the upside is it's full Win8.1 environment so more freedom software wise

JDNEPA, I had the same view on the new 950 as you did. At the Microsoft store they show me how the 950 works when connected to the monitor while still using the phone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f34PJhto92Q). I plan to buy the 950 XL out right to avoid the AT&T drama plus it's great for travel just buy a local sim card

My son has been a fan of Windows Phones since Win Phone 7. I've got one from work and I'd have jumped from my iPhone 5s to a Windows phone but for the size issue. Even the iPhone 6s is bigger than I like. The current crop of Lumia phones are all too big for women's pockets and too wide for my hand but the interface is and has been better than Android as far as I'm concerned. I won't even consider a switch to Android but would to Windows if there was a form factor that I likes. I suspect my husband will switch whenever he buys a new phone with the ability to attach keyboard and external monitor.

Funny thing is that the MS Windows Surface computers are so elegant but their phones are clunky. Get the same design team that created the Surface Book and Surface Pro to turn out a phone as elegant and I'll buy one in a heartbeat.
