Visiting my son for Thanksgiving and decided to bring the Vespa. Strapped it in the bed of my pickup, loaded up the dogs and took off. Stopped at the halfway point to let the dogs out and I saw the seat on the scooter was up. Looked in the bed and saw some of the stuff I keep in the pet carrier laying there. Picked up the stuff to put back under the seat and found the pet carrier was missing. I guess I didn't fully latch the seat and when the draft from the pickup blew back on the vespa, the seat lifted and them under seat compartment lifted out and flew away. So, please be careful when hauling your scooter and be sure to securely latch the sear. I lost a few papers, including my owners manual, but I already have a new pet carrier thanks to some speedy mailing from af1. If you are driving between Rusk and Houston, keep an eye out and you might find an extra pet carrier.
Happy Thanksgiving

Wow. Wouldn't have expected that.

Transporting my LX150 for winter storage recently I lost the center mat. Not expecting that, as it's not its first outing. Of course after the fact I recall that others have had theirs fly off as well.

That's one way to learn. Nerd emoticon

That exact thing happened to me. Make sure the seat is latched when on a trailer or in the back of a truck.

Finally a solution to the all too frequent "How do I get the seat open without keys" queries.

You should either put the pet carrier on a leash, or tell it to "stay." I have mine microchipped.

Bad pet carrier. Bad.

Speaking of losing stuff, sometimes I put stuff in my stock Vespa top case and leave it unlatched.

I guess it's not a good idea if you decide to ride at top speed though.

When I got off the scooter, I looked back and lid was wide open.

My light jacket was blown out somewhere on I-75.

Didn't lose anything else, Fortunately I keep things like the registration under the seat.
