It's irritating when something bad happens and it's your own fault. Don't ask me to explain, but I can ride my scooter every day for an hour and still get a dead battery if I don't recharge it. If I do it every week, no problema. I really knew it was time for a treatment, but I let it slide a little. Long story short: Yesterday afternoon, when I went to the market, it started okay, like there was plenty of juice Usually you can tell a draining battery by a whine when starting; but when I wanted to go home, it was as dead as a doornail. If I was farther away, I'd have called AAA for either a jump or to put it on the truck; but it seemed like I was too close to home for that. I decided I'd walk it home, like I do when I have to move it 20 feet at home. Big mistake. I started out okay; but by the end, I was exhausted. I pushed in in the street so I wouldn't have to roll it up inclines to get to the sidewalk; but because the street sloped down at the sides, it seemed like every few steps, the balance shifted a little.
Now theres a calendar on the garage wall I can check off each week. I never want to have that happen again. Looking back, I probably should have called AAA. I almost dropped it numerous times; but like my mom used to say, "The Lord takes care of fools and drunks."
