left front shock absorber leaking grease!! When I put the grease certs on I put in a little too much grease and slightly pushed out the seal. Now it is pretty bad and the bike leans after being parked a while .

Any idea how much a shock costs?
Is the leaning bike because of the shock leak?

when you are greasing, you are greasing the bearings. the damper has nothing to do with the bearings. when was the last time you changed the fluid and has the bike been sitting for a long period of time? are you getting the 5 honks from the horn? Sounds like something else is the problem.

is the damper physically leaking where the rod goes into the body? best test method would be to remove the damper and remove the spring. when you push the damper down, it should return back to the normal rest position. if it goes down and stays down, it is bad.

based on that, your dampers are probably 99% fine.

Will the leaking shock cause a problem?

Only when using the suspension lock - which only locks the damper. Sounds like your damper (shock absorber) is just fine, it's only the suspension lock that's iffy.

I looked through the Wiki and can find no way to bleed it! OAD <?> said use a syringe! But what is the process!!
