This has been bugging me for ages. I keep leaving my signals on and wonder if it is just a Vespa thing, me getting old or the fact that with a full face helmet on you just can't see the signal warning light on the dash because it is mounted on the lower panel of the dash?
My fix.......simple one really, i just could't bring myself to fitting a buzzer, i think this would drive me nuts. What i have done is re-wired the dash and used the "headlamp on" light for my turn signal warning and the headlamp one is where the turn signal warning light was, as they are both green lights, the headlamp is on permanantly anyway and now i can see more clearly when i leave my turn signals on.

I have found that a flashing light on the dash just wasn't enough to grab my attention even when I wore a 3/4 helmet (I now wear a FF) so I installed a buzzer years ago. And as annoying as the buzzer is, you get used to it. I looked for a loud relay like larger trucks use that make a loud clicking but I couldn't find one. One unintentional advatage the buzzer has is that it caught other drivers attention at intersections so my presence registered with them at some level. Now I'm at peace with the buzzer.

Best

It bears repeating - if you ground the buzzer through the output of the brake light switches, it'll be silent when you have a brake light on. It doesn't then drive you mad.

That's a really good idea!! I probably won't implement it but it is rather ingenious

Best Miguel
