Ok so pads are getting low on both rear brakes on my MP3 300ie Yourban.
So went to change them but the allen key bolts are seized solid.
Youtubed some videos but none seem to work.
Taking it to the shop to get done is gonna cost me.
Looking over getting some used replacements.
Anyone know are the brakes interchangeable, from the different models.
As I could just swap them out and then get the seized bolts out later. (hopefully)

TIA

allen bolts
Bolts will not probably seized. Had similar problem on my yourban, bolts are put in with threadlock at manufacture. Tip from local mechanic that did mine in the end, was to warm up the bolt area of caliper with a blowtorch for a few seconds to melt threadlock, then they undo. When reassembling, put copperslip on the threads, and check every 2000 miles or so, shouldn't ever come loose. Hope this helps. Stay safe.

Sure they do it on purpose so you can end up getting a new caliper!!

Allen bolts thread.
Can any tell me if the thread is on the allen bot head or on the end of the pin.
Something like this I think it is....

Never had an issue with any of my bikes, I guess maybe Piaggio Resources had Torque set wrong when they put your bike together????

pins
Think they might be m8 thread and fairly standard, when mechanic did mine I had damaged hex head and he used a removal tool to get them out. Gave me a set of honda ones, just 5mm too long, shortened and filed aok.

Then start soaking them in a GOOD penetrating oil like Aerokroil. That's all you are going to be paying a mechanic to do if you take it to a shop.
Spray them every day for a week and tap on the bolts just a little with a hammer.
