I installed an 2013 LXV engine and wiring harness on a 2007 LX 150 Frame, I am finding out that the wiring harness connection on the speedometer/dash area does not match up, Any suggestions for a solution? I have the old wiring harness from the 2007 LX 150 , is it possible to convert the the 2 harnesses or splice the connections I need to match the LX 150 set up?

Take a good look at the 2 harnesses, might luck out and wire colors are same for same functions, would then just need to splice the LX connectors. Failing that will need to study the 2 wiring diagrams, LX one is in the Wiki, may have to do some digging for the LXV. http://www.wotmeworry.org.uk/manuals/circuits/ |

Hi
Sorry to butt in on your thread. What is the difference between a lxv and and lx? I have an lx engine which has a fuel injector. I dont want to use the fuel injector (i think). So i will need a new wiring loom. I am planning on using the engine in a et2. Are the connector blocks from the stator/generator the same on both looms? Thank you Robbie |

The LX and LXV would be very different at the headset including speedo and switches. I would look for wiring diagrams and see what you can splice or match up. There is no solution I can give in a few sentences. An 2011-2014 LX150 harness would be a lot easier.

Yeah I know I will need a new wiring loom.
I think if I need to go carb, I need to change the stator and fly wheel. unless someone knows different. I will then get a new wiring loon. I have also been told I will need a new crank. Not sure on that one. Robbie |
