I wish to fit an Audicator turn signal buzzer to my new GTS300, but cannot find the alarm plug. The GTS250 had a large white plug behind the left knee panel. I have searched the workshop manual, and found the pin connections for an Antitheft Device Connector on page ELE101, but no clues as to where it is located.

Is it now part of one of the electrical fittings fixed to the body, with a rubber cap to protect (hide) it? Is it accessible through that same left knee panel hole?

I've only had this scooter for 3 days, and don't know my way around its workings yet. Any help much appreciated.

It's behind the left knee pad.

Thanks. That, of course, is the first place I looked. I could not find any loose plugs there, but I will look again in bright sunlight and with a torch this morning. Is it a plug dangling loose on a bit of wire? Does it have a protective rubber cap over the terminal sockets? Is it black? From the pin diagram I gather it is rectangular and oblong - two pins wide and four long.

Behind that left knee pad I can only find two gadgets. One is a black box with two leads going into it. The other is a large white round plug with about 10 leads going into it - presumably for the multi-media platform. I can't find the pin connections for this plug in the workshop manual.

Hi Mike,

I guess on this one I can help

You might look for

- Pink cable 0.5 - Turnsignal left
- white/blue cable 0.5 - Turnsignal right
- black cable 0.75 - Ground

Cheers
Wolfgang

OK, so I guess I run a lead from each front indicator light, one from a brake light switch, and then search for a switched 12v point - the headlight maybe. That is all I need for the Audicator.

Then just another unswitched 12v point and I can connect up my alarm too. But that will be more difficult to locate.

The unswitched port is in the same white plug the grey 1,5mm cable, the white one is switched.

Wolfgang, are you referring to the old rectangular connector that I had on my GTS250?

My 2015 GTS300 does not have a connector like that. It has a cylindrical plug with about 10 wires going into the back of it.

No, I am actually reffering to the round plug underneath your left handglove- casecover. Your picture does not show a grey cable

Does that look familiar?

I have an audible clicker on my GTS, installed by ScooterWest. Not sure if you are referring to something similar?

ScooterWest has a YouTube showing the install on the part they sell, perhaps this will help?

Ok, Thanks Wolfgang and Greg. That's all the information I need. I couldn't find that pin layout for the round plug anywhere in my workshop manual.

Thanks, Perry. I will get onto them today. Much better than chopping into the wiring of a new scooter.

I would order it with the key, the constant, the turn signals, and maybe the horn that way you have everything you would need for the future

I just logged on to Scooterwest to order it, and found I would have to pay $100 for postage. A bity ridiculous. So I will just tap into the wires at the back of the socket. Thanks again Wolfgang for the terminal identification chart.

$100 shipping was for UPS expedited. We can ship via Priority Mail for as low as $28.00. Just clearing up the shipping cost, I still think you are better off tapping into the round connector directly. Our adapter is great for using our accessories, but not other accessories.

OK, thanks, Max. I only looked at the first shipping option that came up on your website

Mike.
