If you don't have heavy bar end weights, a top case can cause instability at speed.
I think I have the heavier ones, but it's really more a matter of getting hit by high crosswinds. We're sort of on what's more or less a prairie here, between large mountain ranges, so this time of year there are fairly constant, shifting 8-10 mph winds, with lots of much heavier gusts.
But I'm really not sure the box was making all that much of a difference. Still, I like how it looks without it
and I did -- duh! -- realize the pet carrier has a helmet hook.
Also, since I'm used to walking to work all these years I'm used to carrying a backpack, and I think that's more practical for me than the top box.
But it's also mighty cool how you can get the box on and off in about two minutes! Hats off to whoever made that design...almost makes up for whoever designed the oil change so stupidly.
