Modern Vespa

Yup. I used an old iPad and a fat, squishy-tipped stylus. I had to guess where the lines were going to be because it was so inaccurate. Fun though.

I think the artistic term is impressionist.

Made this over the last couple of days. Drawn in Illustrator with the pen and pencil tools, mostly using the mouse and keyboard, but also a little bit of Wacom tablet to block in the solid areas.

Love these old minibikes! This one is a '70s Suzuki.

Thanks for the response guys. I am glad you all found it funny too. I don't draw that much, and while I do some leatherwork now and again, I don't make t-shirts so feel free to run with that idea.

no scooter was harmed, just rested on it's side and zone system applied (as best it can with a small digital camera)

Ha, a new sub-genre of scooter art emerges! I would've bailed on drawing the underside of those fallen scooters - it's the hardest part to draw.

Scooters on their sides, scooters in ditches, scooters at graveyards. Portents of worse to come.

I think they are kinda fun. Honestly, the hard part has been trying to figure out how to transition the colours to make shadows that look okay. The program on my iPad isn't very intuitive, but it was free so no complaints. I have been running them past my wife when trying to give them a personality with just a line or two.

It is just called ArtStudio. My iOS can't update anymore, because my iPad, is old, but I can still run this one.

yeah, I've yet to explore possibilities for slogans and t-shirts with this design. I thought I might incorporate the illustration into a roundel with lettering, maybe the words "Undead scooter club", or something like that?
